Overview

Panchakarma, the ancient Ayurvedic healing practice, removes ama (toxins) from the body, allowing the rejuvenating energies of the body to flow freely. Many illnesses and diseases result from the build-up of these toxins, impairing the body's natural defenses such as the immune, circulatory, and lymphatic systems.

 

Panchakarma is a gentle process that achieves deep cleansing without discomfort, leaving the body and mind relaxed and rejuvenated.

 

Your retreat features Panchakarma with warm, healing herbal oils. Each day you will enjoy a luxurious 2.5 hour Panchakarma session including:

 

  • Massage (Abhyanga): a full body massage with warm, healing herbal oils

  • Aromatherapy steam (Swedhana): an aromatherapy steam bath with rose water mist, helps the oil & herbs penetrate, and sweat detoxes

  • Nasal therapy (Nasya): an herbal nasal treatment, great for allergy and sinus problems

  • Warm oil drip (Shirodhara): herbal oil gently flowing over your forehead allowing the body, mind and nervous system to experience a deep state of rest, similar to meditation, so luxurious!

  • Bhasti: therapeutic herbal and oil enemas (optional, but highly recommended, reduces anxiety and scattered energy.

Your retreat includes:

  • A comfortable room & home environment

  • Delicious Ayurvedic vegetarian meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner

  • Daily Traditional Ayurveda Panchakarma treatments (2.5 hrs daily)

  • Daily yoga

    • Monday - Friday 8am & 6pm |  Saturday - Sunday 8am

  • Daily, meditation, pranayama (breathwork) & group activities and discussions. 

  • Ayurvedic cooking classes

  • Several wonderful surprises!

Stephanie Whitford is an Ayurvedic health counselor, Breath of Love practitioner, yoga and meditation instructor, sound healer and a leader of worldwide wellness travel adventures.

Day 1 - Friday

Welcome to sunny Florida! You’ve likely just arrived at either Jacksonville International Airport (JAX)(1.5 hours northeast of the retreat center), Orlando (ORL) (2 hours south of the retreat center), or the local Gainesville airport (GNV) 20 minutes from retreat center, where you’ll get your rental car and transfer to the Ayurveda Health Retreat. Check-in is at 3pm.  After a short rest, settling in, and freshening up, you’ll have the option to join the evening yoga class at 6pm, or meet the group at 7:15 for the welcome dinner and toast to the relaxation and rejuvenation to come!

Included: Yoga if arriving before 6pm & Welcome Dinner,

Day 3 - Sunday

  • 7-8am - Morning begins with the opportunity to start the day in connection with meditation and breathwork.   

  • 8-9am - Yoga

  • 9:15-10am - Breakfast

  • 10-12:30 - Daily Ayurvedic Panchakarma treatments or free time to luxuriate in your retreat oasis, or explore the local area  

  • 1pm - Lunch

  • 2-4:30pm - Daily Ayurvedic Panchakarma treatments or free time to luxuriate in your retreat oasis, or explore the local area

  • 6:30 - Dinner
